Two minds - which is the driver?

Your question:

‘I need a Mental Breakthrough Strategy that can be custom-fit per client, in cases like these where a Psychological Broaden and Build strategy doesn't have the desired effect. Please, could you possibly suggest some Right Brain Breakthrough stimulation exercises for these people that get so trapped in the analytical/logical/thinking trap that cause them to get in their own way and in the way of their own progress?’

First, thank you for your question.

I’ll jump right into the driver’s seat and share how I would deal with the scenario if I were in your position. This is my approach.

This particular client/learner has clearly got one foot on the break and another foot on the accelerator pedal – not just in the car learning to drive but also as she is driving down the road of life thinking ‘why haven’t I gotten to where I really want to go and gotten what I really want to achieve - like mastering my driving skills?’

I would explain some fundamental information to her; - if you can imagine an iceberg (see picture above)
and imagine that the mind is actually two minds just like an ice berg with its smallest part - about 5% visible above the water and a vast part of ice - 95% invisible below the water. Imagine what’s above the water as your conscious mind and what is below the water as your subconscious mind.

As the saying goes - we only use 5% of our brain capacity – our conscious mind. Well, in reality, this is exactly what the situation is - the
conscious mind – the tip of the iceberg only operatesabout 5% of its capacity in a day whereas the subconscious mind operates the other 95% of capacity a day.

The
subconscious mind handles anything the conscious mind is not paying attention to – notice how you multi-task? You learn to drive a car, listen to the instructor and observe road signs, change gears, steer the car, etc?

What’s happening is that your
subconscious mind is handling all the details while theconscious mind is busy thinking and making decisions about where to turn and how to change gears.

Now, if 95% of what is happening to you is coming from the programming of your
subconscious mind - who or what is actually in the driver’s seat of your life?

While you
think - (conscious mind – operating at 5%) – that you are the driving force in your life with your conscious wishes and desires and affirming that you are qualifying for your driver’s licence - in reality your subconscious mind is running the show and rules your life with self sabotaging beliefs blocking your success!

Your life is a blueprint of your
subconscious mind. And your subconscious mind is a storehouse filled with programming from your childhood and compounded throughout your adulthood.

The Mission, before getting into the driver’s seat, is to discover your self-sabotaging beliefs about yourself as well as your fears that will stop you from obtaining your driver’s licence. We need to connect with ‘your truth’ the 95% programming of the sub-conscious mind.

Let’s have a quick look at what beliefs are:

Beliefs are thoughts you adopted as your truth as to ‘who you are’ - mostly negative. Negative beliefs are unhealthy to say the least. They create disharmony and stress in your body that lead to dis-ease and will sabotage your efforts to obtaining your driver’s licence.

Where and how did these limiting self-sabotaging beliefs originate?

The answer is simple. When you were growing up you received an incredible amount of ‘programming’ or ‘conditioning’ from the people around you such as your parents, authority figures, teachers, well-meaning religious instructors and the media.

So, when looking at your results, ask yourself these 2 questions:

1. ‘What would a person have to believe about themselves in order to create this result’?
(Result = you not achieving your drivers’ licence.)

2. ‘What do I believe about myself to create this result’?

As Carl Jung said, ‘Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate’.

This is where I tell you that while no-one ever told you what or how you were programmed or how to access your programming - the good news is that you can re-program and re-establish a new blueprint, a different life script being driven by YOU.

It’s simple. Like all things you only need to know how to connect with your subconscious mind – your inner power - your truth. The great news is that it’s easy to learn how to access this part of you. Simply turn the key and open yourself up to new possibilities to knowing that you have unlimited potential locked up inside your subconscious mind.

I have combined two amazing techniques – Muscle Testing and Meridian/EFT Energy Healing Techniques with a specific way to ask for and establish your truth locked up in your subconscious mind and then apply EFT. EFT short for Emotional freedom Techniques, is a method of using light tapping of acupressure points on the body while repeating certain affirmations to effect rapid emotional and behavioural changes.

Very helpful answer I think many learners drivers will ponder.

The tapping technique could also come in quite handy although many may consider it mumbo-jumbo without realising its astounding and dramatic results. Might just take you up on your offer, though.
